While it remains to be seen the outcome of Yeh’s recent demand list for Adidas and his Yeezy brand, more shoes that have drawn his ire are scheduled to be released.
An internal adidas document reviewed by Complex highlights an upcoming collection called “Cosmic Way Runners.” The Spring/Summer 2023 collection, consisting of four sneakers, was inspired by “exploring and inhabiting other planets” and offered theories about what future collections might look like after traveling through space.
Highlights of the collection include two AdiFOM Q colorways: a blue ‘Neptune’ (style code GY0065) and a brown ‘Mars’ variant (style code GY0064). Retailing for $140 a pair, the shoes feature distressed foam on the upper to accentuate their space traveler theme.
Readers may recognize these as the foam sneakers included in Yeh’s recent Adidas-focused Instagram post. The shoe has been retweeted in support of Ye by artists like Diddy and Swizz Beatz, and is often compared to the Yeezy Foam Runner on social media. In June, Adidas appeared to be trying to get ahead of the comparison by tweeting about the shoe’s alleged inspiration, the 2001 Adidas Earthquake.

In addition to the two AdiFOM Qs, there are also two Supernova Cushion 7 looks, both inspired by Mars (style code HP2980) and Neptune (style code HQ1202). Like the AdiFOM Qs, the Supernova Cushion 7s uses distressed details throughout the upper. The Supernova Cushion 7 sneakers retail for $140.
The full lineup of Adidas “Cosmic Way Runners” is scheduled to release starting in December.
